Get started in 15 minutes
To publish your first article in CDE you need four things: a site (new or connected), an expert on file, the site's rules written down and an approved topic. The path takes about fifteen minutes when the site already exists.
1. Create or connect a site
Under Sites, choose to create a new site with the Site Factory or connect one you already have. To connect a WordPress, you'll need the address, a user and an application password.
What you should see: the site in the list with a green connection test.
2. Add an expert
Under Authority, add whoever will sign the articles: name, title, credential and verifiable profiles (ORCID, Lattes, LinkedIn). With no expert, nothing publishes.
What you should see: the professional's authority page generated on your site.
3. Write the site's rules
Tone, technical level, audience, banned terms, required disclaimers, allowed sources and who approves what. Written once and applied to every article.
What you should see: the rules version saved, with the date and who changed it.
4. Approve a topic
Under Editorial, the topic queue arrives ordered by priority, with the reason for the score. Approve one; it becomes a brief.
What you should see: the topic marked approved and the brief with the expert in charge filled in.
5. Publish
The article is generated, goes through QA and joins the publishing queue. If QA fails it, the article reaches the reviewer with the passage and the fix.
What you should see: the article live on your site, signed, and verification complete within ten minutes.
